Nord Inwest Sp. z o.o. together with the entire DBK Group, is the leader in the domestic market for providing comprehensive services to the transport and logistics industry (the TSL sector), operating under the “Total Care” principle. As an organization with a massive operational scale, generating vast amounts of data from sales, service, and financial processes, the company needed uncompromising digitization of its resources.
Project objective:
The primary business objective of the project was to reduce the time required to generate management and operational reports from several days (or even two weeks) to a daily basis - in order to accelerate decision-making processes in the fast-paced TSL sector.
This goal was achieved by designing and implementing a modern cloud architecture based on the Snowflake data warehouse in the Azure cloud environment. The key task was to create and monitor stable ELT processes and prepare a dedicated star schema data model, linking system data with manually managed spreadsheets. Additionally, the technical goal was to fully automate the deployment of resources across three independent environments (development, testing, and production) using the Infrastructure as Code (IaC) approach and the Terraform tool, which provided Nord Inwest with full control, repeatability, and stability of data operations, creating a flexible foundation for further, regular support of the solution.
